Animal Away™ uses high-pitched sound frequencies to deter

Animal Away ™ works on batteries (one 9 volt) and can be
used both indoors (barns, garages) or outdoors. By using a motion
detector to activate the 23,000 Hz signal, batteries are spared

The Animal Away™ has an arc of 70 degrees and works for a
distance of 30 feet. It mounts on a wall or fence and or blends

- While prevalent in rural areas,raccoons have adapted to urban
life and are among the most common wildlifespecies found in
cities and towns.
- Since the 1930s, the raccoonpopulation in North America hasgrown
at least 15 times more than it was back then.
- Raccoons find well-timberedareas with large, mature trees
and access to grain crops and water to beideal homes. However,
they will den in abandoned buildings, old beaverlodges or bank
dens, car bodies, piles of wood, abandoned dens from otheranimals,
and hay stacks.
- An adult male raccoon, whichcan be up to 3 feet long and
weigh up to 30 pounds, has a home range ofapproximately 1 mile
in diameter. That range can increase during thebreeding season.
- Raccoons give birth to anaverage of 4-5 young during April
and May.
- Like raccoons, skunksaren’t particularly
fussy about where they live. They are equally athome in desert,
woodlands,
grassy plains, and the suburbs.
- The striped skunk is the maincarrier of rabies in the UnitedStates
and can bevery dangerous to pets and humans.
- Skunks do not hibernate, butmay become temporarily dormant
during the colder months. Female skunkswill often stay in their
dens during the winter, but males will emerge tofeed when temperatures
are somewhat milder.
- During mid-May, a female skunkwill give birth to 4-7 young.
- Skunks feed on vegetablematter, insects, grubs, small mammals
and the eggs of ground-nesting birdsand amphibians, as well
as any garbage they can find.
- Nocturnal creatures, skunkssleep during the day in underground
burrows. These burrows are usuallyabandoned burrows of other
animals or natural hollows under tree stumps orbuildings. They
emerge at dusk to search for food.
